With a Child's
Heart
Matthew 18:3-4
3 And said, Verily I say unto
you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not
enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever
therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in
the kingdom of heaven.
We can learn a lot by watching children, their innocence
and genuine ability to be honest, loving and pure is a characteristics loss
once the cares and corruption of this world creeps into their soul. It is
something that happens to each of us as we grow into adolescence and then into
adulthood. Some manage to hold on to their child like qualities and it is a
blessing when it can be done. The Most beautiful thing about children is they
don't see skin color, they treat everyone as their equal, and they love
regardless of who you are.
There is a show on NBC called Little Big Shots, it
is hosted wonderfully by Steve Harvey and it is a rare treat to watch such a
wholesome and pure show, which is so much more fulfilling than the garbage on
TV programming now, Personally, I barely watch Tv lately, I just don't see
anything conducive to positivity or moral influence and somehow the networks
always seem to cancelled any show that does!
I get so annoyed when this occurs, "Second Chance"
for example, a wonderfully wholesome show..."cancelled."
Well, I digress, getting back to the show, I love this
show and what I find most fascinating is the interaction between Steve and the
children. The theme of the show is children are brought in from all over the
world, various nationalities to showcase their special gift and talent. It is
amazing to see how these children transcend racial barriers with honesty,
kindness, humility, love tolerance, humor, respect and acceptance; all the
traits of the fruits of the spirit are in them. Sadly, I have to say their
disciplined behavior and intelligence far exceeds most adults I have witness in
my humble opinion. It is a welcomed change to Jerry Springer, Housewives of LA
and any other ratchet reality show seen on TV today!
I see no hatred, I see no reluctance to
communicate, no
fear, all the things that keep people divided and fighting is absent in these
children as they happily and proudly showcase the gifts The Most High has given
them.
If you want to witness a perfect example of how adults
should behave towards each other, tune in and watch this show. You will be
blessed, enlighten, amazed and touched as Yah's spirit brightens up and shines
through all these children.
If it doesn't make you look in the mirror as well as view
the world differently when seen through the eyes of a child, then I'm afraid
the humanity inside you is dead and you truly need prayer.
The above scripture says...we are to become like
children...
Maybe we should pay more attention to the children and
allow them to teach us how to be human beings with a child's heart!
We will never be closer to the spirit of The Most High,
than when we were children, so search the inner child in you and discover that
innocence again.
Watch Little Big Shots, Sundays on NBC 8 eastern/7
central hosted by Steve Harvey.
