In His Image....

In His Image

Genesis 1:27(KJV)

27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

Many black celebrities are at the forefront of inspiring a complete makeover to the shades of black skin and ethnic features. Theses alterations consist of skin bleaching, narrowing of the nose, thinning of lips and reconstruction of facial bones, all in an attempt to look more European, eliminate unwanted features or to appear younger. Sammy Sosa, Vivica Fox, Lark Vorhees, Latoya Jackson and the most drastic change is Lil Kim, has changed her features completely to look Caucasian.

In Ecclesiastes 1:2 and Ecclesiastes 1: 14-15 it says…

2 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.

14 I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.

15 What is crooked cannot be made straight, and what is lacking cannot be counted.

There is one inevitability in this life and that is all creatures from man to beast are mortal, there is no immortality, all life must eventually end. No amount of altering one’s body can change that fact. People put so much emphasis on vanity from how much money can be acquire to the desperation of staying thin, and looking young by any means necessary, hoping to cheat, prolong or recreate the body/life that Yah has given.

How arrogant does that make man/woman?

To believe that you can alter the creation of the creator….It is the ultimate denial of Yah’s existence…that is vanity!

1 Samuel 16:7 - But the The Most High said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for The Most High seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the The Most High looketh on the heart.

It is true; people have the free will to do as they please, but at what price will certain choices that are made impact a life or influence a younger generation in not accepting one’s own appearance. To be truly happy in this life is to search within one’s own spirit. To gain a spiritual understanding that is beyond the superficial vanities this world has to offer.

Material wealth, physical beauty, the vitality of youth is all fleeting, it will pass in time, and it is how The Most High created it to be. True satisfaction and peace will only come when you comprehend the true purpose of your life, step beyond the selfish desires of your own existence and realize there is a something greater than you.

Love for one’s self, comes from within, it is the spiritual love of our creator we seek, knowingly or unknowingly. We have to love Him, so that He can teach us how to love ourselves and then we can experience ultimate love as it is meant to be outside of ourselves.

Honest self-reflection will determine that the plastic surgeries, skin bleaching and alterations to the body to improve or eliminate undesirable features is a symptom of an inadequacy of self, a separation from the spiritual person within.

The foundation of who we are as the creator chose us to be makes for a unique individual destine for a fate of our own free will. Yah already knows our fate before we are born. As our creator, we must respect the body He has given us and love ourselves as we are. We are all special, beautiful and important in His eyes....

It is why He blessed us in His image.

This is the beauty of black skin

what is the shame in this?

From fair to a chocolate hue...you are beautiful!

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
