United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

(My brother/sister is my reflection; I can not stand when he is falling)

Ephesians 4:16

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part*, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The above scripture is very powerful! Imagine our people unified, working together, every person measured to supply a need in the edification of the whole community in love! What a beautiful thought to consider, if it were possible.

So why isn’t it? It’s not like it never occurred before! There was a time when our people were unified, a well-oiled machine dedicated to the uplifting, protection and building up of a nation…one nation. What happened? Why is it so hard now to come together, to love one another, protect one another, and uplift each other?

I don’t know if we as a people are keeping up with current events, but did you know twenty years ago, according to the US census we were above Latino’s and now we are below them in the population growth? I say this not to compete with any ethnic group, but to say,…

On average, a generation is every twenty years which means the African American birth rate has gradually declined. There are many more lives being lost, than life being born.

1996

Black: 12.%

Latino: 10.6 %

2014

Latino: 17.4%

Black: 13.2%

How is that possible?

The reason for this decline is very simple…the birth rate among African Americans has dropped, due to abortion:

·        On average, 1,876 black babies are aborted every day in the United States.

We can’t reproduce if our men are in prison:

·        Black men — 7.7 percent, or 580,000 people — are institutionalized.

We are committing genocide by gunfire, which contributes to potential generations lost by each male homicide victim:

·        Homicide is the number one cause of death of black men between the ages of 15-34.

And finally, the murder of black men and women by the police:

·        Young black men were nine times more likely than other Americans to be killed by police officers in 2015, according to the findings of a Guardian study that recorded a final tally of 1,134 deaths at the hands of law enforcement officers last year.

According to the above statistics it is reasonable to believe over a period of twenty years how this would affect the lineage of our people.

Our survival as a people is at risk if we do not come together and eradicate the circumstances that are destroying us as a nation. It is time to do some serious thinking and activism. I know there are those who still believe we can come together and mobilize for the preservation of our future.

We need to recognize that not only is it imperative that we unite, heal and preserve our heritage, but we must renew a spiritual bond to our Creator, Yah! United, we are a powerful people; there are those in high power who benefit from our division and destruction. They have the biblical and archaeological knowledge to prove how special we are and how superior we will be if we are on one accord, united in spirit and faith! We were a mighty people in the past and we can be today...with Yah as our guide!  We only need to love one another enough to understand that if we do not come together...United we stand or divided we fall….
